Student Behavior Management Coalition

We are committed to better-aligning discipline management to the needs of today’s schools.

“The Student Behavior Management Coalition is committed to safer schools for all Texas students, teachers, and staff. Working with Thompson & Horton, LLP, we are taking action to bring positive changes to Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code during the upcoming 89th Texas Legislature Session.

Since Chapter 37 was introduced almost 30 years ago, new tools, resources, and best practices have greatly influenced how schools approach student discipline. Our goal is simple: ensure state law provides safe classrooms for all teachers and students while ensuring hyper-aggressive students receive the services they need to regulate and acclimate to academic environments successfully.”
